Description
On his way to becoming the Jensen Bell of today, Jensen hooked up with two great musicians from the local "pop-music" scene in Los Angeles. The late 90's was all about watching the Los Angeles music scene just ... melt away. Downloading songs was being blamed for the failure of the bloated out of step music industry... no more A & R guys coming out to clubs to "discover anybody"... soon it was just nerdy music fans, actress-slash-models, and posers left in the clubs. The nerdy music fans tended to offer the best shows. Stew, The Sugar Plastic, The Muffs and even The Eels were making great music and bringing appreciative crowds out to hear SONGS. Sure the Poptopia Scene was full of dorky bands... but ... even they were fun to watch. Jensen was working on a recreation of "Pet Sounds" and writing songs with Robbie... when Jim said, "your songs are cool... I'll play". Some great shows happened... some glowing reviews... lot's of good ideas... and ... Pffft! ( as per-usual )
